Jerusalem on ‘a colt, the foal of a donkey’ (Matt. 21:5). However, even that day was not the major fulfilment of Zechariah’s prophecy, because we know that those cries of ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ (Matt. 21:9) were transformed only a few days later into yells of ‘Crucify him!’ (Matt. 27:22).
